Moving back 20-25 yrs. you won't even find Tupkadih in the map of Adra division properly. There was a halt for the cabin newly built for a bypass which we now call TT line. That's how Tupkadih came into map. PRR had a huge area of loco shed and was a two platform station. Many might wonder why Purulia Jn.'s code is PRR and not PRL even though being an old station is because it was given code name after it's MG loco-shed(Purulia Railway-PRR). The town had significant population at that time yet railway connectivity merely consisted of only four trains a day. 316, 62A, 828 and 2A(I guess) were the only trains. So definately, Adra has glorious history.
