Thank God RM is not from TMC, else all the funds of IR would have been utilised to build the Bullet Train proposed by Didi instead of doublings, g/c, new lines & electrification in IR network, Just like the way the funds of IR were diverted to financially unviable Kolkata metro projects during her tenure as RM. She was popular in WB, with the notion that development comes to Bengal with Didi (but at the cost of central funds abuse) and got electoral success by dislodging 3 decade long communist rule. It is very easy for a RM to (mis)use IR funds for state politics. But as CM she has failed to bring development? you need to generate funds in your state for further development

Didinomics!!
Located between Durgapur & Asansol at 170km distance from Kolkata, Andal airport is proving to be an economically unviable project. This region with very low ac rail traffic potential, should not be expected to feed a large number of air paxs to make the new airport project viable.
Andal airport, was constructed at the cost of about 1000 Crore Rs and now didi want Central Govt to construct a Kolkata-Andal bullet train project which is likely to cost about 35000 Rs. to make it economically viable!!! The bullet train project shall be a bigger failure than the Andal airport!!

Bullet train should come on higher potential routes like
Delhi-CDG/LDH/JUC/ASR/JAT
Delhi-CNB-LKO/ALD/BSB/PNBE
Mumbai-Pune/NK
Delhi-JP/AII,
MAS-SBC/MYS
before coming to kolkata-Durgapur-Andal route

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
