Additionally, on August 17th, the Sabarmati Express derailed after colliding with boulders between Govindpuri and Bhimsen stations in Varanasi. This incident has prompted high-level inquiries by railway officials and heightened security measures by law enforcement agencies. In a separate incident on Saturday, an attempt to derail a train in Surat, Gujarat, was thwarted when a lineman noticed tampered railway tracks and informed authorities. Furthermore, on Friday, a large stone was placed on the railway track near New Karachna station in Prayagraj, resulting in a collision with a goods train.
