They further requested that the Dehri Intercity Express departing Dhanbad at 6 am should instead depart from Asansol, providing better connectivity for passengers from Asansol, Kulti, Kumardubi, Thaparnagar, and Chhotambona traveling to Giridih, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jahanabad, Patna, Uttar Pradesh, and Ballia. Additional demands included improved facilities at Kumardubi station, such as proper restrooms, waiting areas, and lighting, along with extended operating hours for the reservation counter. The JMM also requested the installation of street lights on the Kumardubi railway overbridge.
