This happened over a decade ago when the section around Ghagra Pul near Barabanki used to be a single track. I was traveling via this train and it was stopped a couple of stations before Barabanki. Due to it being single track, we were subjected to numerous xings and overtakes. The train was stopped for ~1.5 hrs each at two different locations (where it had no scheduled stop). Many of the co passengers then were wondering if the train's engine had failed. It finally reached Barabanki after a delay of over three hours.

Talking about NR trolling, the worst I saw was when it took Himgiri express MORE time to traverse 20 kms from outskirts of Lucknow than it did for SLN-LKO stretch. My co passenger had a connecting train from LKO and we had reached LKO outers at 1930 hrs. He had to take the Gorakhdham express and was pleased that he will catch his train. But his slowly turned into a frown as the train stopped at every signal there was. Needless to say he missed his connecting train.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
