I strongly feel that the time has come when the Indian Railways gives an option to the travelling passenger to select whether he wants have food on trains like Rajdhani / Shatabdi / Duranto while booking the journey tickets rather than force them to eat the crap & contraption they try to pass on as the “compulsory” food & then fleece them for the stuff quite unnecessarily.
Those who opt out should not therefore be forced to pay of the food part included in the ticket.
Also, during my last two journeys:
i. New...
more... Delhi – Jammu – New Delhi on 20/10/15 & 22/10/15 by train nos:12425 & 12426
ii. New Delhi – Ahmedabad – New Delhi on 27/10/15 & 28/10/15 by train nos: 12958 & 12957
The waiters serving the said contraption adamantly demanded “tips” for the “service” they had offered during these trips.
During my travel on 20/10 when I gave Rs 10/- as “tip” to the waiter, he insisted that I must give him Rs 20/-.
Did I not pay in advance for the “catering” service before even I boarded the said train?
Would anybody take up the matter with the competent authority as I do not know where exactly I should lodge this type of complaint.
Thanks in anticipation.
