Mumbai Madgaon Double Decker service if introduced will be a superhit for sure. The Shatabdi special initally ran with good patronage but later on, it suffered because of non priority of the train in CR and KR where it ran late by upto 10 hours. Also, the rake provided was the old cranking one which made a lot of noise along with heavy vibrations the moment it picked up speed.

Though the DD coaches are bit uncomfortable, I think a speedier aggressive run schedule will definitely create wonders....

To start with it can do a Triweekly 9 hour run in each direction and according to patronage, the frequency can be increased..

But for that the strings will have to be cut in and the spare coaches will have to be brought to CR at the earliest for intensive testing so as to get a clearer picture before the monsoon sets in.

I still think there needs to be a Shatabdi instead of a Double Deckker.
what a double deccker can do with 10 coaches, the same shatabdi will do with 15 coaches with the fact that DD wont run fully occupied but if there is shatabdi n same no of ppl r there then shtabdi might be fully occupied. IR started new shatabdis on every other route except in cstm div.
CST CR surburb has problems with the heights of the ac tration wires too, so in such case is Double Decker really a...
