Lucknow - Ayodhya is now connected via 3 VB trains, I think; but only 1 passenger train and 0 Intercity. Rest are long distance trains in which reservations won't be available last minute. IR should run such EMU services or a reverse ICE via AY to GKP.

It should be Kanpur Lucknow Ayodhya Gorakpur intercity. Going by the occupancy of the VB from GKP Lucknow Prayagraj even after extention there isn't need for premium train.
