Yo, this station used to be a crossing station when there was only one line in operation. They built it just to make things easier for the workers, but it wasn't actually in the real Amargol village. When they were building the freight lines for the Hubli Junction Bypass, they needed a new station at the point where the trains would change tracks. That station, Hubli West Bypass, is just about 2 kilometers south of Amargol station. And they also added another track to make things even smoother. So, they shut down this station because it wasn't needed anymore. By the way, they recently changed the name of Hubli West Cabin station to 'Bhairidevarakoppa' based on the local area. And the new code for the station is 'BDKA'.
