Bro that train is mainly to cater major places of kerala , due to unavailable of pit/stable lines at tvc,they given to kanyakumari and also KKRUA(kanyakumari assn) will demand all the trains from tvc to its place !!
Actually it was for TVC, Due to pitline availablity and Second maintenance issues extended to CAPE.
So with this arrangement wherein dedicated rakes will be there with Island express, there will be huge time when this train will be there at the yard both in Cape as well as SBC which is a rarity these days. Almost 10-12 hours in both the places.
If SWR can do rake sharing with MAS-SBC mail, it will be really good. The train has got 1A, 2A, 3A as well as sufficient sleeper bogies, wouldnt be a bad option at all
