Despite the development project, an escalator for the FOB has not yet been installed, causing inconvenience for senior citizens and women. The need for an escalator has been raised for over 5 years, with organizations like the Senior Citizen Interest & Welfare Committee and the Rail Facility Struggle Committee advocating for it. The station's FOB was built around 40 years ago, when the area beyond the tracks was sparsely populated. However, with the growth of several colonies across the tracks, the need for an escalator has become even more pressing. The Railway Users Advisory Council has also highlighted the issue and received approval for escalators and lifts, which are expected to be installed soon.
