is there any chord line/bypass planned to avoid loco reversal at Shahganj for the trains coming from Mau/Azamgarh?
No Mau AMH JNU ALD bound Train Has no need LOCO Reversal at JNU SHG.
JNU JOP Chord Line Work is sanctioned This will be become 2nd shortest Additional Route of CPR-LKO.
No, there is no any Bypass line sanctioned at Shahganj.....
...But yes, there is a new line proposed from Azamgarh to Ambedkar Nagar via Baskhari & Jehangirganj. If this becomes reality(less chance), LR at SHG can be avoided by choosing this route

but there is possibility as lot of space available for chord/bypass line for shahganj...if railway serious about saving time & money.
