Kishor ji, I had booked an e-ticket last week (for journey in the second week of October) from PGT - SC, with boarding point as CBE. Since my boarding point CBE had WL status, I had a look at the PGT quota, which was in RAC status! So, I went ahead and booked my ticket from PGT, with boarding at CBE. I was allotted the PGT quota (as per the new rules mentioned above), which was in RAC status at the time of booking, and not the CBE quota (which at that time was in WL status -- as per the old reserv. rules, I would have been allotted this WL status at CBE, not the RAC status from PGT). So, obviously the new rules for reserv. have kicked in in right earnest.

click here which said that endorsement of boarding point at the PRS is mandatory even under the new rules! After the inputs from the Admin. members and others on this forum, my doubts have been clarified. Thanks again to the members who have sent in their invaluable advice.
