i have a request to Rail minister .. In this new budget rail minister should announce Diesel Locomotive shed for Bikaner division near Hanumangarh bcoz Bikaner doesnt have its own loco shed and all engines are not working proper and sometimes thousand ltr diesel goes waste in useless works.. like if any train has halt for 2 to 8 hrs then management can't switch off the engine bcoz if engine starts for once den it consume 25 liter oil or if it continue starts then it consumes 20 to 25 liter per hour ..
Then how will it save diesel even if BKN gets Loco Shed, as again same funda will be applied: Switch-on will lead to consumption of huge & keeping it on again will do the same!! Now if Loco gets parked (which only it gets for maintenance), the same happen for other Loco who run for BKN & get parked @ its home shed!!
Ok, so diesel wastage was just a diverting issue, not exactly linked!! ABR/Sabarmati are near to BKN!! With handful trains starting from BKN, it really dont need any such LS, as all BKN Loco will be standing @ other stations, wasting diesel!!!
abr/sabarmati are not near.. its more den 500 km and i m just talking about 200 km bcoz bikaner division me to hanumangarh sriganganagar hisar bhatinda and sadulpur ka area aata hai
Taken totally, not many train ply from these areas!! Its totally less train zone & most train just pas thru!! After, JHS, next shed is TKD, some 400+ KM away (while the traffic is too high)!! After Gonda, next shed is @ SPJ (towards BJU), which is 497 KM, while BSB is 382 KM (via GKP)!! SPJ-BSB:440... more...
KM, LKO-LDH:800 KM (For diesel Loco) GD-LDH:800 KM (Via Sitapur) Now Via Sitapur, distance is 800 KM, as load too less on this route!! So u mean, BKN should get Loco to cover 200 Radius, even if not more than 10-20 passenger/exp originate & end in this area!!
The work of other corridors on various routes across the city is also going on at a rapid pace, while talking about the first corridor, it was 23 kilometers, out of which 9 kilometers were ready, work on 14 kilometers is going on fast, there is also a lot of route...
