after extension of LKO Ekatmata(s) from DDU to GAYA. DDU gets its only M/E again.

even rake is small.
.
it wud have been good if it was rerouted via BXR - ARA - PNBE - BKP to RGD.
probably extension to LKO wud ease load on Shramjeevi and other trains.
.
passengers of DDU- GAYA can shift to Ekatmata(s).
.
both Budhpurnima and Ekatmata(s) have scope coach augmentations too.

No. Even if the route is circuitous, it's important in terms of providing connectivity. The current route of Budhpurnima is right.
And huge numbers of people board this train for Gaya - Bhabua section especially from Patna.
As Nalanda have a few trains only, the route is important as it is the sole connection to the districts of southern Bihar.

It's primary maintenance is at BSB. So, LKO extension is not feasible.
