In April this year, I had been to Guwahati on board the 20504 Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express. After many years, I came back to this section, of New Delhi Lucknow via Moradabad. It was quite different from when I saw it last. One such change was witnessed in this MPS skip of Shahjahanpur Jn.
For those who don't know, Shahjahanpur Jn., was the terminal of a small MG branch line, which came from Pilibhit Jn. The line was operational until before the pandemic, during which it was closed for gauge conversion. The line...

As we approach Shahjahanpur Jn. from the Bareilly side, one can see the new line approach from the left. Couple of lines bifurcating from that join the mainline, just before the station, while one line enters the newly built BG terminal.
The section MPS is presently 100kmph, and it has been this way since ages.
