Doctortrainspotter~ 2227 blog postsSince Raptisagar, Ahilyanagari and Korba TVC's terminal has changed to Kochuveli, it would not be a problem to shift the terminal of Rajyarani express to Trivandrum Central.
Rajyarani can be made to depart from TVC at 20.40 to make way for the huge incoming traffic. If PM at TVC is the issue, then the rake can be shunted to Kochuveli for PM, like Kerala expess.
If passenger associations could raise this issue along with the clarification, it should succeed. As intrastate short distance trains should not be terminated at satellite stations.

Yes at least intra state trains should go the main terminus. But isnt availability of PF early morning in TVC a challenge ? lots of trains terminating/originating around the time between 4:30am-6am. MAQ-TVC, Amrita, Janshatabdi (dep) and then now with revised timings of few weekly trains like Veraval-TVC, NZM-TVC.
The previous Rajdhani's arrival timing is replaced now by nzm-tvc and veraval.. Raptisagar,Korba,Ahilyanagari which used to occupy one platform have been shifted.. So railways can use that opportunity to bring Rajya Rani to TVC.. Or as DRM proposed, extension to NCJ/CAPE would also be fine..
Ok. Was not aware of any proposal for extension to CAPE or NCJ. That can also be done actually.
It was opposed by CAPE association recently as it will block their pitlines and requested DRM to drop that proposal. Most likely it would be dropped like Amrita's extension proposal
