Sharing a funny incident which happened with me last week:
It was a casual Friday morning where everyone was rushing to get to work in a quest to leave early in the evening for the weekend. I left my house as usual at 8.45 am to board the 8.50 am Thane local from Mulund station. This is one of the many locals that goes to Thane and returns back as a CSMT slow local. I boarded the train at Mulund station and it departed on time. Most of the Thane locals crawl between Mulund and Thane and wait for platform clearance in between. Our train went past the Eastern express highway and took a usual halt. The other Thane - CSMT local...

As our train got the signal clearance, we started at a slow speed. I was seated at the non-track side window seat as the trackside window seat was occupied by a couple. As we were crawling, I heard a silent honk from the adjacent track and immediately knew that the legendary Pushpak Express was approaching. My head turned quickly towards the trackside window. I was continuously staring at the window waiting to spot the P7 locomotive but the train hadn't arrived as it was coming at a slow pace.
While looking through the window, I had completely ignored the couple seated there. The Pushpak express made its grand entry with a Long Tone Honk lead by a P7 from AJNI shed picking up speed. The milky white 30349 P7 was a treat for eyes while the rhythmic track sounds calmed my ears.
The girl at the window seat was now staring at me with a thought that I was looking at her. By the time Pushpak passed, the girl knew that I wasn't looking at her but watching the train passing by. After the train left from my sight, I noticed the couple and the expression on the girl's face was hilarious.
At that very moment, I remembered the quote:
"A rail buff is more interested in watching a locomotive rather than a good-looking woman who might pass by"
Fortunately, the couple de-boarded at Thane; maybe she knew that Koyna Express was on its way with a Pune WDP-4D beast and I am a fan of diesel locomotives :D

Same like always, I left my house at around 8:45 am to catch the 8:50 am Thane local train from Mulund station. This train goes to Thane and comes back as a slower CSMT local train. I got on the train at Mulund station and it started on time. Usually, this train moves really slow between Mulund and Thane. Our train stopped for a bit after passing the Eastern express highway. Another train from platform #1 passed by and then we started moving. I was sitting on the side of the train without the tracks because the other seat was taken by a couple. As we were only moving slowly, I heard a little honk from a train on the next track and I knew it was the famous Pushpak Express. I turned my head to...
