**********OPINION PLZ ************
We all know speed matters , that to Average speed.
Why not Indian railways come up with ticket pricing based on its Avg speed ?
Suppose
Avg speed 80 kmph
...
and above then for 1000 km 3A cost some 1800 rs
Avg speed 70 kmph and above then for 1000 km 3A cost some 1600 rs
Avg speed 60 kmph and above then for 1000 km 3A cost some 1400 rs
Avg speed 50 kmph and above then for 1000 km 3A cost some 1200 rs
They can take 500 km or 300 km as bench mark. First they can implement for end to end.
It gives justice to every one. More competition and accountability also will come

Operational costs are the issues, if u have huge work force and operational costs then surely every thing goes loss. Also only india we think about profits from public transportation even though indian govt collects almost 20-30% income tax. There are many countries where public transportation is free.
Its will reduce traffic issues and also carbon emission if u have cheap mode of public transportation.

It's a really good idea I also thought from this angle.. but as a secondary option railway can reclarify the SF,EXps,Pasnger trains on there average speed on end to end calculation..
SF- 70>above
Exp- 50>
F.psngr- 35>
Pasngr-<35
...

Which also exist in railway but there is no exect rules for them at the present tym..
hope u all agree with my point..

Additionally they will also have to mention that if train fails to cover it within the stipulated time then partial amount will be refunded based on the arrival time slab.

It's Very Good Idea...As per current scenario Avrg Speed would be :-
Hamsafar/ACSF/Garib Rath =75+Avrg Speed
Normal SF = 65+Avrg Spees
Exp/Mail = 55+Avrg Speed
Fast Passngr = 40+Avrg Speed
Passngr
...
= 35+Avrg Speed

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
