this was the link... this was studied in 2015 .. there are many factors which were considered to compute operational losses. such as sidings of goods ... etc. .. so as a whole a train may not be incurring pure running losses to the railways but if they quantify it as whole it may be stated as loss.. almost all passenger trains on indian railways are loss making should they be shut down ?
mean while this study was performed in 2015 after which dynamic fare system was introduced...
more... and railways stated 500 crore more revenues from these trains even if the occupancies were less.. .
well most of the shatabdis including ajmer shatabadi.. except Moga Ludhiana Firozpur Agra would have become profitable for railways..
you can not ignore.. its more than 80% occupancy between Jaipur and Delhi too.. !!!
