Why not run MEMUs to Marikuppam from Kengeri instead of SBC. Construction of Metro is in full swing in Mysuru Road too, which is highly congested. It will be useful for Kengeri, Jnanabharathi, Nayandahalli and Vijayanagara (Krishnadevaraya Halt) too.
This could be the first part in the first phase of Bengaluru suburban rail project.
Lets hope that additional rakes are delivered on time, so that MEMUs can start operating by Dec 2017 as promised earlier by SWR officials

The biggest mistake SWR and IR made was not constructing dedicated suburban tracks before Bengaluru City was developed.Kolkata,Chennai,Mumbai,Delhi had dedicated suburban tracks before the cities were developed and dedicated suburban station was also constructed.
