R M is forgating rule of equality. For same facility, distance / train now different person has to pay different fare. This is ridicules . It seems R M does not understand and believe in rules of economics.

This seems illogical because it does not depends on who plans early. Users who are able to book before 8:02 AM, on ARP opening day, pay 100% base fare, then those booking before 8:05 AM pat 110% of base fare and so on. So it depends on speed of booking rather than planning.
If berths/seats remain vacant, railways should give them at 100% base rates to attract passengers. With 150%, it is difficult to attract passengers. e.g. For Solapur to HYD, most of the days, we could find seats vacant even in running train (Pune SC Shatabdi Exp). It was logical to pay base fares for that, considering speed and comfort. But now since Pune to Solapur / HYD have booked half

of the train, the rates of the anyways vacant berths increased to 1.5 times. So booking by 50% passengers is in other segment and due to which the anyways vacant segment passengers are getting impacted. Similar issues will exist in all trains.
Railways should come up with day wise dynamic pricing applicable for entire train. e.g. For Weekend, Long weekend, holiday seasons, festivals, fares etc. the booking should itself open with higher fares, and should apply for all passengers. They should also come with higher cancellation charges. This way they can control demand and encourage passengers to travel over lean days when trains run with vacant berths, at the same time earn more revenue. Also, there wont be a race to book in 1st minute of opening of reservation. Only the ones with confirmed plans will book, thereby reducing WL in trains, even during peak time.

A better idea would have been to allow more seats in Tatkal.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
