Observations at Pune : Saturday, 19-Jan-2008 : 07:45 to 08:15 hrs (Morning Observations)
1) Blue PUNE WDM3A # 18648R was returning to loco shed. This had come with 2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Exp. Rake of Azad Hind Exp was seen on PF3. This 18648R was in brown livery till September-2007 and is now in blue livery!

Green PUNE WDM2 # 17987R was waiting for the duty to haul 1549 Pune-Solapur Passenger.
3) 1602 Manmad-Pune Passenger arrived on PF2 with green PUNE WDM2 # 18605R. This loco went back to loco shed. Green 17987R then got attached to the rake MMR-PUNE Passenger at Daund end and hauled the same rake at 08:15 hrs as 1549 PUNE-SUR Passenger!
4) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18495 was waiting for some work in pit line near PF6.
5) 2126 Pune-Mumbai Pragati Exp departed from PF1 with KYN WCAM3 # 21881 at 07:50 hrs.
6) Pune-Lonavala local departed from PF5 at 08:00 hrs.
7) Pit line between PF2/3 had single skyblue/yellow GTL WDM2A # 16390.
8) 9312 Indore-Pune Express arrived on PF6 with BL WCAM1 # 21814. This is the first additional run of 9312 INDB-PUNE Exp arriving Pune on Saturday! Earlier, the train was biweekly coming to Pune on Tuesday/Friday and is now triweekly coming to Pune on Tuesday/Friday/Saturday! From today onwards, 9311 Pune-Indore Express will run triweekly from Pune departing every Tue/Fri/Sat at 15:20 hrs from Pune! The rake of incoming 9312 Indore-Pune Exp was having some
decorations. It was new rake of WR # 07xxx coaches (however not brand new rake). The same rake was used for 9325/9326 Indore-Amritsar Exp. Today's 9312 (first additional 3rd run) came with only 100 odd passengers in the entire train! WR coaches were based at Indore and were new. However, they were normal Sleeper coaches, not the very new ones with extra berth between side upper / side lower! On the coaches, there were many small stickers with "Thanks to Sumitra Mahajan" for starting Indore-Amritsar Exp and for additional run of Pune-Indore Exp! The train had regular 15 coaches and additional SL coach marked as # CR # 07249 (empty locked coach just behing the Valsad WCAM1 21814). Once BL WCAM1 went to electric trip shed, immediately derated 18495 removed this CR SL coach and took it towards outer yard. Thus, new CR coach was sent to Pune with Indore Express!
9) Electric trip shed had 4 BL WCAM1 locos (21814, 21843, 218xx, 218xx) and 2 KYN WCG2 locos (201xx, 201xx) and KYN WCAM3 # 21945.
