22601 MAS-SNSI which runs via KPD, KJM, GTL,RC, SUR to SNSI can take on another day via KPD, PAK, DMM, GTL, GDG, BJP, SUR to SNSI.
22601 takes a de-tour from KPD to DMM via KJM (405 Kms) against via PAK dist 291 Kms. Extra 114 Kms run in SWR congested regions of JTJ, KJM,DMM route. If it is re-routed via PAK, you can save 114 Kms. This can be offset for the addl run in GTL-GDG-SUR...

In summary, I suggest that the MAS-SNSI on some other day can take PAK route to GTL and from GTL via GDG to SUR. Distance will be almost same. Nothing is lost. MAS public get one more train to SNSI as well as BAY-GDG-SUR gets one train to MAS. What do you say??
