Thanks to all for bearing with the changes. Yes, there have been several bugs and they are being fixed when reported. Some further changes have been made to the Availability Calendar. As can be seen in the screenshot, you will now see the respective, WL#, RAC#, & Avbl# in the respective slots. The classes appear only at the top.
.
There will more less-visible UI changes within the next couple of weeks. As you you may have observed, the website will slowly take on many native app features. Recent advancements in web technologies...
more... allow differences between web and apps to almost disappear.
.
Specifically, the following changes will be rolled out in the coming days/weeks:
1. Full offline capability. The main website interface/search functionality/drop-down will always be available even if there is no network.
.
a. Recent searches, train pages, blogs, notifications, etc. will always be available even if there is no network.
.
b. You will be able to Reply to blogs, upload images, etc. even if there is no network.
.
c. When you are on the net, you will automatically always get the Fresh web pages like normal. So, no difference will be noticed
.
2. Since many of the common pages are cached, performance may become faster. For example, you won't have to wait for the Home, Search, etc. pages to load since they will already be available.
.
3. The "IRI Web app" will instantly be available on ALL devices - Android, iPhone, tablets.
.
.
4. There will be a link to directly install the "IRI Web app" directly at the top of the page. There is NO need to visit Google Play, AppStore, etc. to install the "IRI Web app". When you install the "IRI Web app", an IRI icon will be created in your phone/device. Thereafter, you just need to click on the icon to go to the IRI site.
.
5. When you click on the IRI icon, the IRI site will open in full screen like an app. As mentioned earlier, the app will always open, with all recent cached content already available - even if there is no internet. There will be NO address bar.
.
Thanks.
