In Feb 2020, I had been to Chennai for a get-together with some friends. I had booked my stay for the first couple of days in the Retiring Room of Tambaram Railway Station. On my way to the location of the event; 22624 Madurai - Chennai Egmore Bi-weekly Express overtook my local train at Nungambakkam. While we soon caught up with it at the curve immediately after; my local had to eventually slow down for a halt at Chetpet. The GOC WDG-3A chugged hard and accelerated just then.

But we quickly completed...

our halt at Chetpet & accelerated out. The express meanwhile, had to switch lines to enter pf-2 of Chennai Egmore. Thus the local successfully surged ahead and Egmore Pf-11 ahead of the Express.

It was a beautiful morning race and a wonderful Sunrise to go along with it. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
