Later VSG BZA frequency got increased to tri weekly and then 4 days when it got extended to HWH.
Railways should have cancelled the KCG slip when it got extended to HWH itself. The extension was poorly planned. It was a stupid decision to carry Goa Hyderabad slip coaches in a train which was the only rail connectivity from East India to Goa considering the number of migrants and tourists travelling in it.
Second in zbtt when they were cancelling link trains they should have cancelled this slip service too.

They should have introduced a replacement like it was done for others
Its because the doubling of VSG QLM is carried in patches else I don't recall the VSG QLM Passenger cancelled any other time since its inception in BG.
It was Vja Hubli Amaravati express daily train. Layer it was extending to VSG on one side and HWH on another side for 4 days and remaining 3 used to run from Vja to Hubli. After many years the frequency of Vja Hubli express is again increased to Daily. The patronage of the train is good before and after extention.
The train was also cancelled during various yard remodeling works at VSG twice.

Also I don't understand why don't they extend old pitline to the length of the new one ?
I was thinking the same thing, well if they do it probably they will have to resume the pre-covid trains and run existing ones with 22 Coaches. So, in the name of 2nd Pitline which can handle 22 Coaches they are playing with it and not giving it clearance. If they really wanted they would've have commissioned 2nd Pitline long back and with that they would have extended 1st Pitline as well. But the needle doesn't point towards passenger trains for SWR.

Will SWR have dared to run Karnataka express with 18 coach plus 2 parcel vans CC ? I guess not then can't understand why only VSG trains are treated like dirt. Even high in demand weekly trains like VSG JSME and VSG PNBE SF are not running with 22 LHB coaches. It's really disgusting of SWR and totally pathetic.
Also it's not like Dehradun or Kalka that VSG platforms or stabling lines cannot accommodate 22 coach LHB rakes it's just SWR creating CC restrictions themselves.

Your display name LHB_for_18047 itself shows the scrutiny of SWR or damage that they have done overall by not taking any considerations from general public. SWR is not evil but the way they play with VSG (very pathetic) and the cheap slip coach tactics done withholding it's conversion (18047), very sad state of affairs. After COVID SWR have gone the worst way to treat VSG, is it purely freight or they just want to continue with existing 12 trains and no more want to do anything for VSG !! God knows what's their plan 🙏.

Yes electrified but I don't think electrification itself is commissioned they might have used EMD for testing!!
People will be opposing it but at the end railways will however possible do it despite the criticism being faced and most challenging problem for UBL Division will be VSG-SKVL. (It is going to take very very long time) . My personal opinion proceeding Kulem they shouldn't be doing double tracking till Castle Rock very eco-sensitive terrain until studied properly specially the Dudhsagar stretch, earlier officials were saying about if they were to build a parallel bridge along with the existing bridge they would be building a retaining wall from the waterfall side and they had to face such a backlash from Environmentalists and the people. Meaning just the idea of touching that stretch makes everyone consider railways is so insensitive about it & that is true. Well, also as we had discussed earlier /blog/post/5959067 there are Stations in b/w for crossing and that is more than enough unless SWR...

Yeah as of now they should only proceed with VSG QLM and CLR TGT doubling and try to get it doubled as soon as possible.
Also they should introduce more trains on the route to ensure the general public that SWR do care about passengers in Goa and tourism prospects for Goans. They have not even commissioned the VSG 2nd pitline which construction started in 2019 which severely restricts more trains to VSG.
