I dont think this is the first saffron vande bharat of SR.

I never went to south in rail but i though smvt is terminal station where as ksr lies on main line That reason may be
yes thats true.. due to Pitline Upgradation works in Mysuru this train is currently short terminating at SMVB, once all the works are done, the train will be extended down to MYS and diverted via SBC JTJ Route
No SMVT is not a terminal central station, There is still a way from Mysore to SMVT to Chennai via KSR bengaluru, yesvantpur, Lotte, Banswadi , SMVT , Baiyappanahalli but its going to have speed restriction. Thank you

badrinarayanand 276 blog postsWhy all trains are being inaugurated from MAS ? This train has ample layover time at MAS. Instead this should be started from MS or TBM with a stop at MSB or PER.
Or else, the 12027 MAS-SBC Shatabdi should be made TBM / MS - SBC Shatabdi.

Why all trains start from MS or Tambaram like Nellai VB and Tejas. It should start from Avadi or Thiruvallur
Not Avadi or Tambaram but Villivakkam is what SR is eyeing into if you have watched recent news. On Feb 2 news came out that SR plans to develop Villivakkam as a terminal to decongest Central. So I think this place will get importance soon.
