After a long time, this was the train that was run between Okha/Ahmedabad & North Bengal/North East Cities of New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, New Bongaigaon, Rangiya, Rangapara North (serving Tezpur), Naharlagun (serving Itanagar) .

This route also ensured that the train touched new central India destinations like Gwalior, Guna, Ujjain, Ratlam & so on.
