Great to see doors in 2S coaches and the seats seem a bit wider too.
Hope to see some of these on Neral Matheran trains too.
One of the worst seating arrangements is found in Neral Matheran trains. Even two children cannot sit properly in that arrangement.

Will there be alternate options (like bus, cab) from Coimbatore/Mettupalayam, if in case it does not confirm?
there is plenty of TNSTC busses from MTP to ooty. u can take it.
Okay... so, I took the risk that day and booked in FC. Only one ticket out of 5 was confirmed before chart preparation and we were pretty tensed. After chart preparation, all 5 tickets got confirmed. There seem to be quite a few tickets in EQ.
There is also an unreserved coach. However, there are limited number of tokens (45) given at station master's office on the morning of train departure. One needs to collect the token and then go to booking office to get the UR ticket.
