This station serves as nearest railhead to 5.4 km distant Keoladeo national park situated on bharatpur- sewar road, known for migratory birds breeding and residence. Some of the species of the globe like egyptian eagle , syberian truss breed here only and leave after 2 months with newborn offsprings
Large wetlands group under ramsar convention lie in its territory.

Connectivity:
1. By road: located on mathura -jaipur highway its a 3.5 hour drive from delhi either by yamuna expressway or erstwhile nh2,delhi -mathura -bharatpur highway. Bus{state/private }, taxi, cab all available.
Auto /taxi available from junction for park. Auto charge 80-100rs while taxi charge in the range of 250 -300rs . Ola/uber not present but websites like savaari.com and hiremecar are active.
Parking fee for four wheelers is 60rs for a day that too be paid extra to hirer
2. By rail: located on high speed mathura -sawai madhopur -kota section , so loads of connectivity. From delhi there is nzm -kota spl early morning whose departure timing is slightly unreliable, often departs late from nzm.
3. Flight : nearest airport is agra . Taking Flights from delhi not practical.
One day trip is sufficient.One round of park completes in 4-5 hrs.
Modes available : bicycle (60 rs for a day) or
Cycle rikshaw/e- rikshaw(500 rs for 3 hrs) or horse pulled tonga or by foot.
Bi-cycle is the best mode to explore the flora and fauna bestowed by mother nature to this place.
Don't forget to take binoculars/dslr
