I boarded Visakhapatnam Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat with Platform ticket. Went to drop by brother travelling to Vijayanagaram. Distance 60km Fare Rs 435 ( catering charge Rs 35) way expensive. When you give halts every 60km and want people to board the train the min fare km and fares should also be kept low. I think min fare km in ACC is 125km. They should change fare structure of ACC class from 50km upto 200km to be competitive with road sector for Normal trains and VB. AC buses charge Rs 2-3 perkm depending on route and bus type. For 200km VB fare is 600 without catering fare which is equivalent to premium AC bus fare.

The distance was 60km and the fare was Rs 435 (they even charged Rs 35 for catering, outrageous!). I mean, come on! If you're making stops every 60km and you want more folks to ride the train, keep the minimum fare and prices low, man. I heard that the minimum fare for the AC class is like 125km. They gotta rethink the fare setup for AC coaches, you know? Make it competitive with regular trains and the Vande Bharat. AC buses only charge like Rs 2-3 per km depending on the route and bus type. For a 200km ride on the Vande Bharat, it's like Rs 600 without catering, same as a fancy AC bus ride. Anyway, talkin' 'bout the front and back of the Vande Bharat.
