Tiruchi to have new shed for maintenance of MEMU rakes

Southern Railway is constructing a new MEMU shed in Tiruchi, costing approximately ₹50 crore. This is the first MEMU shed in the Tiruchi Railway Division, with existing sheds in Chennai, Palakkad, and Thiruvananthapuram. The shed will support MEMU trains operating on the Mayiladuthurai-Salem and Mayiladuthurai-Tiruchi routes.
