the Kanjurmarg depot. The MMRDA is awaiting forest department approval for a 1,798 square meter site by July 2024. Additional land acquisition challenges include sites near IIT Bombay, Kanjurmarg, the Eastern Express Highway, Saki Vihar, and Jogeshwari West. The MMRDA is pursuing land acquisition at these locations, including negotiating with the MTNL for 346 square meters at the IIT station and the Defence Ministry (Navy) for 248 square meters at the Kanjurmarg station. The Maharashtra government has already allocated 15 hectares of land for the Kanjurmarg Depot, and an additional 7 hectares requested by the MMRDA are under consideration. The MMRDA has secured approval to build the depot, estimated to cost INR 509 crore. Construction is progressing with the completion of piling work and ongoing pile cap excavation. Girders are anticipated to be launched after obtaining final design permissions by October 2024. The 16-kilometer elevated line will cross the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road and Central and Western Railway train tracks, utilizing 18 six-car rakes for train operations.

MMRDA ko line ke 5 jagahon pe land lene mein problem aa rahi hai: IIT Bombay ke paas, Kanjurmarg, Eastern Express Highway, Saki Vihar aur Jogeshwari West. MMRDA in jagahon pe land lene ki koshish kar raha hai, jismein IIT station pe MTNL se 346 square metre aur Kanjurmarg station pe Defence Ministry (Navy) se 248 square metre land lena bhi shamil hai. Maharashtra government ne Kanjurmarg Depot ke liye 15 hectare land de diya hai aur MMRDA dwara maange gaye alag se 7 hectare land pe bhi vichar kiya ja raha hai. MMRDA ko depot banane ki approval mil gayi hai, jiska kharcha INR 509 crore aane ka anuman hai. Piling ka kaam khatam ho gaya hai aur pile cap excavation chal rahi hai. October 2024 tak final design permissions milne ke baad, girders ko launch kiya jaayega. 16 kilometer ki elevated line, Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road aur Central aur Western Railway train tracks ko cross karegi, jismein train operations ke liye 18 six-car rakes use kiye jaayenge.
