So the moot point is, the proposed line will follow the Grand Chord line from Dhanbad upto Karmatand (Dokra Halt) rather than Pradhankunta Jn. The line will separate from Dokra and likely branch from after the Dhangi Hill and go over the Kolkata-Delhi Hghway and take a parallel route to the Dhanbad - Sahibganj route upto Tundi and go into Jamtara district and branching off towards the Usri Falls and then entering both Giridih and New Giridih with an ROR link line at GRD.

The proposed link up at Giridih will likely

open up a link up to Maheshmunda - Madhupur line.

This line will require a good flow of passenger trains to compete with the bus lobby, as this proposed line is comparable to the road distance and patronage will be decent!

In my opinion the line could have been started from DHN itself and run parallely to the Grand Chord line and separate from Dokra, the Grand Chord and the DFC lines should have been kept undisturbed ! This line could have built like the proposed new aligned DC line.

This is because with the new alignment of Patherdih-Pradhankunta line will facilitate a substantial movement of freight trains from ADRA-TATA side, and ultimately lead to a Bermuda Triangle between PKA and GMO. Also it is very liekly, this DHN-GRD will also be linked up to the proposed MDP-DHN power corridor.

Ofcourse, I am being highly optimistic, but what are your opinions ?

built north side of the yard then it will be beneficial for giridih line as crossover is compulsory due to DFC
some pitline can be made in Giridih also for originating trains
and nawadah giridih should be replanned such that it meets the giridih line at Jamua, it will definitely shorten the distance

Banega hi nahi, just a lollipop for elections. Parasnath line ke liye to kuch kar nahi rahe. Wo chhodiye jo line pehle hi ban chuki hai (koderma wali) usme aajtak kitni train chalaye? Ek bhi nahi.

Agar ban bhi gayi to ispe sirf freights chalegi, waise hi Dubey dono (dhn & pnme) lines ko power corridor me dalne ka proposal diye hai

Dhanbad Station will have to be re-aligned for the EDFC lines that are too pass right through the station. Similarly Asansol will also have to be modified to make way for the DFC lines.
