This is be a boomerang for Railways. Soon IR will have to run 2 trains in same destination 1 with Non Veg Food & 1 with Veg Foods. 60% of Indians are Non Vegetarians. If you give preference to 40% Vegetarians, it will destabilize society. Passengers will be forced to take in Non Veg food with them. Since Catering is now optional in all trains.
Why to run train with nonveg food? It is not mandatory at all. Non-vegetarians can consume veg food also so why to stop having food for those 40%?
It is for stabilizing society and it was destabilized till now. Yes, catering must be optional but every pure vegetarian is having rights to eat in hyganic place where he does not have to face smell of chicken mutton etc
