I don't think travel time can be reduced in CR further for Mumbai Chennai trains as the speed increase is already reflected in the daily trains while other trains passing through is not reflected like SBC and Hyd bound trains apart from weekly scheduled trains.

Alco ka ho sakta hain but WDP4 WAP7 ke barabar hai if not better.
Signals & Freight traffic 😑 will eat those 45 minutes slowly.
Mumbai to Delhi (1385 kms) many trains cover the distance in 17-18 hours . But Mumbai to Chennai (1200 kms) takes 22 hours. Mumbai to Bangalore (1100 kms) takes 24 hours!!!.
Is there any benefit of these upgradation jobs?? Anyway journey time is going to be almost same, thanks to bus operators. We may get some 5-10 minutes saving which will get projected as a big news. That's all.
