KRCL blocks the new train from Bengaluru to GoaKonkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL), headquartered in Navi Mumbai, appears to have blocked the introduction of a new...
SWR is known for serving other zones. So Gulbarga in SCR would be beneficial for Gulbarga. Also, if SCR is given this area, rearrangement of area from Khanapur to Gulbarga to Guntakal in a single zone is possible. Karnataka need not get one more zone SCoR. After Hotgi upto GTL in a single division and zone
It's known fact that SWR only cares about freight revenue from VSG that's why they always refused to start new trains from VSG. Now with the new MoSR things have changed for better in VSG favour. But here in the case of ypr vsg via Udupi it's KRCL who played dirty games.
There should be ultimatum. Karnataka contributed more than Kerala for construction of KR. But gets no benefits. All Konkan trains are going to Kerala only. One should demand how many trains KR can run. If not possible, please attach Karwar division to SWR. Similarly Ratnagiri division to CR. One zone less is 1000 times better. Then, SWR can dictate terms of running trains in Karnataka.
KR cannot block trains saying we don't have rails to run kar. trains. They shouldn't have agreed running Kerala, Goa and Maharashtra trains indiscriminately without thinking about needs of Coastal kar. Even the Karwar div. is a namesake div. Madgaon is better developed than Karwar. How can divisional HQ not even have pitlines or other maintenance facilities ? I agree SWR has always neglected passenger services. But current MoSR and few politicians are doing good job in improving rail network in Karnataka.
