* Delhi is infrastructure capital of India and shall remain for ever if the things continue to move as they are moving now.

more... In long distance trains it is absolutely, a no match to Delhi. Delhi have large number of Shatabdi/Rajdhani trains and large no. of SFs/ME trains connecting almost each city on IR network.
* In matter of DFC, too Delhi has got much higher priority.
Delhi Metro system is approaching 300 kms mark where as Mumbai is a beginner with only 15-20 kms under operation and now 172 kms planned which will take 10-15 years to complete, By that time Delhi metro network may be over 400kms as it is adding 10 kms every year.
* Rapid rail network planned in Delhi-Delhi-Alwar,Delhi-Meeryt already being taken up for construction and a few more under active consideration
* In matter of Road network, Delhi again is way ahead of Mumbai and continue to maintain lead.
* Suburban railways, the life line of Mumbai are the possession of Mumbai, which Delhi can never match.
