In premium trains ,Fares for any class shall of be increased over 50% of the basic fares including all charges.
First 50% of tickets ordinary fares.next 25% with 25% increased over basic fares and the last 25% with 50% increased over basic fares.
Lean season / lesser booking dates 50% ordinary fates + 50% with 25% increased over basic fares .

I must say the Railways management or Ministry is a real bunch of xxxxxx. If earning per seat is most important, simply reallocate half the seats in general and other half in tatkal. Airlines can never compete with railways with tatkal fares. Railways are way cheaper. Increase Tatkal quota and charge a bomb on it.
Yes this could be good idea 50in general and 50%in tatkal with increasing in tatkal charge 30-50% will be successful
Election me bhi jana padta hai sir, railway isn't a private limited company that It can take absurd & insane decisions like this. Rationalisation of Dynamic pricing system is needed and this will only happen when the government gets rid of this hangover of appeasement politics.
The Rajdhani-Duronto-Shatabdi passengers category is not in the list of votebank of any Political Party. Most of them are big city migrants who never even care to go back to Hometown to vote. By the way this category includes me too.
