Madurai Division cancel most of the day time passenger trains on Saturday or Sunday due to maintenance works for 3 months.

Most of the people prefer Saturday/Sunday travel to nearby temples and catch connecting trains in Tirunelveli,Virudhunagar and Madurai conveniently since passenger enter into the Junction.
But Madurai Division cancels most trains are very inconvenient to the people .People suffer a lot on Sunday in boarding trains in junction with change of travel mode from Bus ,Mini-Bus/Auto etc even though rail line available between stations and junction.

Madurai-sencottah passenger not cancelled...If cancelled people will be taking severe against SR...As always the train is crowded...........
Only 3 pair of Passenger Trains and only one Express are operated in the Shenkottai-Madurai Section.So SR operate only 40 % of the requirement in this section.So SR not cancelled any in this section.
All the Zonal Railways are introducing summer specials during March to May,But SR is cancelling trains in summer.SR may choose maintenance period other than summer period for the benefit of people travel in the summer.Mostly SR cancel trains which are runs in the Tamilnadu area.
Madurai Division augment trains in the lonely Kollam-Punalur section of Kerala but cancel with in Tamilnadu area and close the section during the night in the Tamilnadu area.SR does injustice to the central and south Tamilnadu.
So we demand a separate Zone with headquarters in Trichy with...
