Special trains to clear extra rush of passengers during festivals announced; check details

Southern Railway has announced special train services to manage the expected surge in passenger travel during Onam, Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. The Hubballi-Kochuveli Express (07333/07334) will run on September 13th and 14th, with stoppages at Salem, Erode, and Coimbatore. The Secunderabad-Kollam festival special (07119/07120) will operate on September 13th...

and 15th, stopping at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, and Coimbatore. The Kacheguda-Kollam festival special (07044/07045) will run on September 14th and 16th, with the same stoppages as the Secunderabad-Kollam train. Additionally, the Kochuveli-Nizamuddin festival special (06071/06072) will operate every Friday from September 20th to November 29th and every Monday from September 23rd to December 2nd, stopping at Erode, Jolarpettai, and Katpadi. Finally, the Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi festival special (06077/06078) will operate every Saturday from September 21st to November 30th and every Sunday from September 23rd to December 2nd, stopping at Erode, Jolarpettai, and Katpadi. All the special trains have advance reservation options available.
