If both trains run in same path and any of the two trains find its hard to fill, then probably DD will be the one losing the job. Its worth noting that DD atleast have some 2S coaches where CBE,Tiruppur,Erode migrant workers can use. Only if, seats are vacant, otherwise all is well.

It's just my guess bro as CBE doesn't have any VB maintenance facilities.

Oh, yes. My bad, I forgot that cbe-mas vb starts from cbe. Then, it's all on rake allotment. If it is SR, least they can do is to not operate in the same route as DD UDAY Exp.

That makes sense. It would be better if atleast 1VB(inc upcoming MDU VB) goes via Hosur line. CBE-Bengaluru VB gonna cover less distance compared to MDU VB and it can't bear further slowdown due to ghat section. Meanwhile, CBE VB can easily afford it as the distance is lesser and double line from Hosur. I reckon, in the end, with these technicalitiies, Both VBs are going to run via JTJ.

Yeah, SBC seems to be a better option, but don't know what Railways have in mind since they developed it as a new terminal with huge investment. Heard connectivity to interior cities are not great as SBC, so that also should be taken care of.

Lots of rumours these days. I don't personally believe that date, Trial runs are yet to be done for SBC-CBE, so apparently i think it is not 17th. If it is 17th, i'd be damned lol..
If it is SBC, an easy exit at Krishnarajapuram should be explored like u said and if it's SMVT, only 4kms b/w two stations, not gonna cost much timings as it is part of BLR, so stoppage should be explored as well.
And at the same time, about timings, with priority and MPS of 110kmph and 130kmph for the whole section in future , less than 5 hrs seems pretty easy, anything less than this will be a killer service for sure.
My Guess for now with 110KMPH : 5hr 15 Mins..Let's wait...

As I'm not familiar with this MAQ-MAO Route, i prefer to stay away from above discussions, but I remember, there was a VB proposed by SR between MAQ-MAO(weekly 6 days) in IRTTC23.
So, there is possibility to say this news might get true.

Yeah, SR trying their very best to provide an additional VB for Ernakulam and Kottayam.
We already have seen the SBC-ERS Diwali special proposal, but it didn't take off since SWR cited some operational reasons. Let's see what happens here, all other proposed specials are approved.
Journey time is also a factor to consider.

The MYS and CBE special are being operated with the help of spare rake, but, The Kottayam Special was proposed with the newly allotted rake. I'm not sure, if it's an another spare rake (or) meant for MDU-SBC/SMVT VB.
