Sounds like a cool plan, but there's only 45 minutes between the arrival of Golgumbaz and the departure of the passenger at Arsikere. You gotta make sure to leave some time for buying a ticket at Arsikere. If you miss the passenger, you'll end up shelling out more money for the extended journey without any extra perks.

There's another option too, if you're getting a ticket for GG express from the counter, you can mention the reservation only until ASK and the ticket until HAS/MYS. You can use that for this passenger train later on.

I've tried this trick twice in the past month. And both times, I missed the ASK-MYS train. The first time, the Golgumbaz train was almost 30 minutes late, and the second time, it arrived at the platform just as the ASK-MYS train was leaving. I ended up taking the bus to reach MYS. It's a risky move. It's better to catch an Udyan Express and go to SBC. From there, you can catch the buses from Majestic to MYS. At least you'll have the option to go to MYS instead of being stuck at ASK. I was traveling from SUR.

Maine pichle mahine is tip ko do baar follow kiya hai. Aur dono baar ASK-MYS passenger miss kar diya hai. Pehli baar Golgumbaz lagbhag adhe ghante late tha, aur dusri baar Golgumbaz platform par pahuncha jab ASK-MYS passenger station chhod chuka tha. MYS tak pahunchne ke liye maine bus li thi. Yeh ek risky bet hai.

Achha hai ki tu Udyan Express pakad le aur SBC jaa ke Majestic se MYS ki bus pakad le. Kam se kam teri MYS jaane ki vikalp hai ASK mein phasne ki jagah. Main SUR se safar kar raha tha.

If you're traveling from Solapur, there's a direct train called Basava Exp to Mysuru. You can also expect an extension of Udyan train to Mysuru in the future. It's easier to find available seats in Golgumbaz express compared to Udyan. There are two more options to reach Mysuru: 1. Take Udyan train until Guntakal and then catch Hampi Exp. 2. Take Udyan train until Bengaluru and then catch Kacheguda - Mysuru Exp.
