Recently traveled in this train from LTT to HWH coaches has been replaced to LHB but other facilities are in pathetic conditions
cleanliness is very bad toilet are stinking at whole journey (Housekeeping A2Z services)
Food was pathetic request others to carry Food by yourself bcoz less options for E catering (Catering Jan Aahaar)
Complained against this to railway board from tweeter but...

Twitter service by railways is just farce & a publicity move. They just help in such situations where railways can earn easy publicity like helping an aged person, women or delivering baby food or nappies on board. They just copy paste the 'matter forwarded to concerned official' but god know what do they forward & what action do they take? I too avoid taking this train & infact prefer Howrah Mail (via Nagpur).
To go to Mumbai...always prefer this train...but now Railway has to change it's coaches into LHB..as well as Has RSA with Samarsatha express..CR should promote this with Wap 7 loco permanently.

ok, Anyways, as a few pointed out that coaches are old etc, but let me tell you, They are in perfect condition and well within the codal life of 25 years. CR have done a fabulous job on this train's maintainence and the charging points were available in each bay.
Now coming to Punctuality, well, the train did a terrific run till BSP after which trolling started and arrived HWH with a delay of around 2 hrs

This is the only train, which has seats till the last moment!! It is due to the odd arrival times at HWH. Gitanjali Express and Mumbai - Howrah Mail are the most popular trains on Mumbai - Howrah route, due to the arrival timings at HWH. Duronto is catching up fast!!
Not exactly, you can see Sleeper class is highly patronized & AC class availability is due too large numbers of AC coaches (9 coaches), but still this train is not that popular like Gitanjali or Howrah Mail...
atleast in ac,i think empty seats are due to large no of ac coaches.also i prefer this due to its timing in hwh. 4am early morning in hwh is awsome time to reach.
i think it has very less useful stoppage after bsp.i mean pple travel to rou or ckp from bsp,and as far as i know there is huge crowd for kgp that like to board at bsp.
overall due to high no of ac/sl coaches and low demand of onroute stations due to odd timing,its easy to get reservation.

Yeah, you are right. These days even SL seats are not available on this train at some times. Maybe it is gaining popularity. It,s sister train, Samarsata, is going full too !! It has a very good ARR time at HWH.
Awesome train with good punctuality and cleanliness.
