As per News March end GTL-BAY electrification

Happy to hear all but some statements make to laugh.. Even railway officials think that Electric trains move faster and their will be time saving.. Time saving is just time spent in accelrating and deccelarating after & before each halts so that doesnt make much time saving compared to Deisel service which can be lost some where in TSR/PSR sections or at station outers for starter signals .To run faster trains their are many necessary things required like track allignment and track upgradation including strenghtier track bed, Strengthened rails,PSC sleepers,Efficient signalling & Telecom,Proper controlling of traffic over section , I dont think only making electric trains they can achive higher speeds but han i agree it will be enviroment friendly thats main advantage for Electric traction.
