Please check the existing lines, you are talking to connect with proposed Etah -KSJ. The Mitawali is actually the busiest main line, Delhi - Kanpur - Howrah.
Please enlighten me how in the existing heavy traffic, you'll cross the whole line to transfer the traffic from Etah to Agra Cantt?

Regarding distance - Etah-Tundla existing distance is 74Km. Add 33Km of KSJ to Etah and 29 Km from Tundla to Agra Cant. Thus Kasganj via Etah to Agra Cantt is 136 Km.
Whereas Existing route via ACH is having 163 Km. So just 27 Km rout Km saving but problem of line crossing at Tundla. You decide.

There is a connection line from Barhan Etmadpur without touching the main line.
Agra Mathura Hathras Kasganj Bareilly route is 265 kms approx, but via KSJ-ETAH the distance is 215.
A healthy difference of 50km or 1 hour running time.
